Peels
What is a chemical peel?
A peel performed by an aesthetician is a skin treatment designed to exfoliate and rejuvenate the skin. It involves the application of a chemical solution to the skin's surface, which causes the outer layers of the skin to exfoliate. This process encourages the regeneration of new, smoother skin beneath.
How do I choose the right peel for me?
Peel formulas and strengths are customized to each patient’s skin type and condition. During your personal consultation, we evaluate your skin and medical history, discuss your goals, and determine the correct initial peel strength. Allergies, medication use, history of cold sores or photo-sensitivity are all important factors in peel safety.
Introductory Peels
A gentle beginner peel is highly recommended for several reasons, especially for those new to chemical peels or those with sensitive skin. A mild peel allows your skin to gradually adjust to the exfoliation process and reduces the risk of irritation, redness, or adverse reactions.

Advanced Peels
Advanced peels are a great option for individuals with more complex skin concerns, those who need deeper rejuvenation, have more mature skin or those looking for faster and more significant results. These peels can address issues like deep wrinkles, severe acne scars, melasma, or severe sun damage. However, because they penetrate deeper into the skin, they often come with more downtime and require more careful aftercare. It’s important to consult with our trained professional to determine if an advanced peel is suitable for your skin type and goals. When done correctly, advanced peels can yield dramatic improvements in skin appearance and texture, helping to restore a youthful, glowing complexion.
